This is what happens when you take our classic Moon Lamp and ask, “What would make it feel like magic?” The answer: magnetic levitation. Strong magnets in the wood-grain base hold a 14cm sculpted moon in mid-air, spinning gently and continuously, with no battery or cord on the moon itself.
It’s the moon lamp built to be looked at. Not just lit up on a nightstand — but stared at, talked about, photographed.
What makes it the centrepiece
- Magnetic levitation. Once balanced (takes about 30 seconds the first time), the moon floats ~10–15mm above the base and stays there as long as the base is plugged in. It revolves continuously in space.
- Realistic sculpted lunar surface. Same authentic moon detail as our classic Moon Lamp — craters, ridges, real texture. Not a printed pattern.
- Wirelessly powered. No battery in the moon, no cord dangling from it. The base is plugged in and does all the work; the moon stays clean.
- Virtually silent. No humming, no fan. You only hear it if you press your ear directly against the base.
- Designed to run 24/7. Many customers leave theirs floating around the clock.
Lighting: LED with 3 selectable white tones — Cool White, Natural White, Warm White. Soft, ambient.
Which moon lamp is right for you?
- This one — if you want the wow-factor of levitation with a realistic lunar surface. The premium statement piece.
- Galaxy Floating Moon Lamp — same levitating base, but with the galaxy/nebula print on the moon instead of the realistic surface. The boldest option in the range.
- Moon Lamp — same realistic lunar surface, but static on a wooden stand and fully rechargeable.
- Galaxy Moon Lamp — colourful nebula print on a static, rechargeable globe.
